Hi, my name is Beate Piecha and I am a passionate storyteller, filmmaker, storyboard + set artist and photographer.

My journey began in a faraway land, the beautiful Germany, where I grew up and discovered my love for the arts. Hungry to learn more and inspired by the different cultures and opportunities in this world, I traveled (flew my magic dragon) to the United States and completed my education in Film, TV and Design. Since 2010, I have resided in the Los Angeles area and looking to further demonstrate my creative skills in pre-production & production, as well as expand my network in the entertainment industry.

Driven by limitless imagination and creative tools, I always seek to challenge my abilities and perfect those in my professional work. I thrive best in collaborating and coordinating within a team, driven by fascination for the story and characters, with the goal to bring those to life. This involves working with the environmental texture and setting of a scene, alongside each character's development in order to create depth and ultimately a meaningful impact on the audience and how it is moved by the story.                                    

My expertise is both hands-on and digital work combined, and particularly expressed in works of animation and stop-motion. I put special focus on tapping into our imagination, human psychology (young and old), deeply layered drives and challenges, exploring human limitations and possibilities, all shaped and influenced by genres such as fantasy, sci-fi and mystery, with a dash of comedy, thrill and drama for young and old. My goal is to create emotional connections and make every story and message worth while telling and entertaining to the viewer. 

As a natural visionary, I am precise in articulating the subject and vision across. I believe that working with great passion and dedication, team-focus and positivity, incredible things can get accomplished. Finding a balance in staying organized, yet flexible in a creative flow is an art itself that is mastered one story and one project at a time. Any work that I do consists of maturity, professionalism, unique messages, tempered with humor, silliness and at times, a few twists to add to the unexpected and surprise.
